What makes Hanuman Ansh particularly interesting is its extraordinary box-office journey. The film did not open like a conventional Bollywood blockbuster. It started with a very modest first-day collection, but strong word of mouth gradually changed its fortunes. Over the following weeks, audiences continued to support the film, turning it into one of the biggest surprise success stories of 2026.
The film explores spirituality, devotion, compassion and service through the journey of Neem Karoli Baba. Rather than presenting a conventional commercial story, Hanuman Ansh focuses on the transformation of a young seeker and the spiritual path that ultimately leads him to become a revered saint.

Hanuman Ansh Story
Hanuman Ansh follows the spiritual journey of a young boy who loses his mother at an early age. Searching for answers about life, death and God, he leaves home and begins travelling through different parts of India.
During his journey, he meets saints, devotees and ordinary people and gradually begins to understand the meaning of devotion and service. His experiences ultimately lead to a defining spiritual transformation and the emergence of the figure known as Neem Karoli Baba.
The film therefore focuses less on conventional commercial entertainment and more on spirituality, faith, compassion and the idea of serving humanity. The story also brings attention to the spiritual legacy associated with Neem Karoli Baba and places connected with him, including Kainchi Dham.
BookMyShow's synopsis describes the film as the story of young Lakshminarayan's spiritual search and his transformation into the revered Neem Karoli Baba.
Hanuman Ansh Box Office Collection
The box-office performance of Hanuman Ansh is one of the most unusual aspects of the film. It opened quietly but gradually gained momentum as audiences recommended it to others.
According to Sacnilk's tracking, the film collected approximately ₹10 lakh net on Day 1 and finished its first week at around ₹1.08 crore. Its collections then increased substantially in the following weeks.
By Day 60, the film had reached ₹325.48 crore in India net. Its India gross stood at approximately ₹384.44 crore, while the overseas gross reached ₹39.80 crore. This took its reported worldwide gross to ₹424.24 crore.
| Box Office Detail | Collection |
|---|---|
| Day 1 India Net | ₹0.10 crore |
| Week 1 India Net | ₹1.08 crore |
| India Net by Day 60 | ₹325.48 crore |
| India Gross by Day 60 | ₹384.44 crore |
| Overseas Gross by Day 60 | ₹39.80 crore |
| Worldwide Gross by Day 60 | ₹424.24 crore |
The Day 60 figure is particularly notable because the film earned another ₹75 lakh in India on October 5, 2026. The film was still running in theatres at that point, so ₹424.24 crore should be described as the reported worldwide gross by Day 60, not as the final lifetime collection.
Box-office figures are based on trade tracking and can vary slightly between sources. They should therefore not be described as an officially audited figure from the producers.
Hanuman Ansh Budget
Hanuman Ansh is particularly remarkable because of its reported production cost. Media reports have described the film as being made on a budget of less than ₹2 crore. This is a reported production figure rather than an independently audited budget released by the makers.
When compared with its reported worldwide collection of more than ₹424 crore by Day 60, the film's theatrical performance is extraordinary. Its success is also notable because it did not rely on a conventional superstar-led opening.
Hanuman Ansh OTT Release Date
Hanuman Ansh does not have a confirmed OTT release date or officially announced streaming platform as of October 7, 2026.
There had previously been reports about a potential ₹100 crore OTT deal, but the film's producer Ragini Sona denied those reports and said that OTT plans had not been finalised.
The situation has not changed into a confirmed streaming release yet. JustWatch's India listing, checked on October 7, 2026, does not currently show any online streaming provider for the film. It continues to list theatrical availability instead.
Therefore, it would be incorrect to claim that Hanuman Ansh is currently available on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar or another major OTT platform. Viewers should wait for an official announcement from the filmmakers or a confirmed streaming listing.
Hanuman Ansh Review
Hanuman Ansh is a different kind of Hindi film. Its primary focus is spirituality rather than action, romance or conventional commercial drama. That makes its audience somewhat different from that of mainstream Bollywood releases.
The film's biggest strength is its subject. The journey of Neem Karoli Baba provides the movie with an emotional and spiritual foundation, while the story's emphasis on devotion, compassion and service gives it a clear central message.
Shobhinaw Satyaa carries the central role and gives the film the calm presence required for the character. The supporting cast also helps create the world through which the young seeker travels.
The movie may not work equally well for every viewer. Its spiritual focus and measured storytelling mean that audiences looking for fast-paced action or conventional commercial entertainment may find it slow in places. However, viewers interested in devotional cinema and inspirational biographies are more likely to connect with its tone.
The film's unusual box-office performance is itself evidence of the strong audience response it has received. What began as a very small theatrical opening eventually developed into a long-running success driven largely by word of mouth. The film was still attracting audiences in its ninth week, even while competing against major releases.
Is Hanuman Ansh Worth Watching?
If you are interested in Neem Karoli Baba, spirituality, devotional cinema or inspirational biographies, Hanuman Ansh is worth considering. The film offers a straightforward spiritual narrative and places greater importance on faith, service and personal transformation than on commercial spectacle.
It may not be the best choice for viewers expecting a fast-paced Bollywood entertainer. The film's 150-minute runtime and spiritual subject require a certain amount of patience and interest in the story.
Final Verdict
Hanuman Ansh has become one of the biggest surprise success stories of 2026. Its journey from a ₹10 lakh opening day to more than ₹424 crore in reported worldwide gross by Day 60 is remarkable.
More importantly, the film has found an audience through its devotional subject and its portrayal of the spiritual journey associated with Neem Karoli Baba. Its success shows that a film does not always need a major Bollywood star or a huge opening weekend to find a large audience.
